Thursday, December 12, at 6:30 pm, come to the Orange County Library (137 West Margaret Ln.) and listen to stories told by local authors at “The Storyteller’s Gift” program. Anne Clinard Barnhill, Natania Barron, Barbara Davis, James Maxey and Barbara Claypole White will each present an original work and discuss the importance of books and stories as gifts.
The Friends of the Orange County Public Library invite the public to an entertaining talk by local children’s author John Claude Bemis.

Two new local fiction writers will be at Purple Crow Books to discuss and sign copies of their latest books. Lyn Fairchild Hawks is an educator who once taught at Stanford Middle School. She will read from her young adult novel, How Wendy Redbird Dancing Survived the Dark Days of Nought. Her colleague D.W. Frauenfelder will read from his fantasy novel, Skater in a Strange Land.
