Exchange Club Park

The Exchange Club of Hillsborough was chartered on June 19, 1947. Through the years the Club has been very active in community improvement projects. The primary focus of the Club has been with the youth of the community. In the Club's early years, members worked to improve the athletic facilities a the local high school. Such projects as installing a fence at the athletic field, putting up a lighting system so that games could be played at night, installing a scoreboard, and providing and operating a sound system for the games - were some of the many projects completed by the Club. Later, the Club purchased land for a park, and built a community building for use by the public.

Presently, the Club provides a little league field for use by the Hillsborough Youth Athletic Association, is involved in the National Exchange Club's Child Abuse Prevention Program and has established a local program for the prevention of child abuse, sponsors American Citizenship Awards in the elementary schools, honors a Student-of-the-Month from the Orange High School senior class and awards a scholarship at the end of the school year to one of the monthly winners, is a sponsor of the Annual Junior Livestock Show and Sale, and has installed new playground and picnic equipment at the Exchange Club Park, which the Club provides and keeps up for the community.
